Corflex/Hufcor proudly introduces a truly revolutionary self-supporting operable partition structure, called Unispan®, which solves the problem for buildings that can’t accommodate operable partitions because they were not designed to support the weight of the partition or they don’t have the structure to install overhead tracks required for operable partitions.
The Unispan structure is a complete operable partition system incorporating all parts necessary to install operable partitions. It consists of heavy duty self supporting columns, a horizontal truss and an operable partition, making it completely independent of the building structure. Since the bottom cord of the truss system is the operable wall track, it completely eliminates the need for additional overhead structural support.
What does this mean? Operable partitions, glasswalls and accordion doors can finally be used in practically any building. No engineers are required for installation and all aspects of installation can be taken care of by your Corflex installer. This also means that Unispan can save you substantial money.
The Unispan system can be installed in widths up to 39' 9" [12.2]. The Unispan height is limited by the panel weight. Panels can weigh no more than 400 lbs. [181 kg]. Bracing is needed for lateral stability only.
The system is not permanent, as the Unispan system can be moved to another location to accommodate future needs.
